We are heading back to one of our favorite venues in town, Lightnin Salvage. As part of the Gainesville famous restaurant Satchel’s Pizza, Lightnin Salvage offers a laid back dining experience with eclectic atmosphere as well as a family friendly environment. Our whole family should be there so come on out and stay a while.
We will be performing from 6pm-9pm. In the mean while here is a video of our original song “Thank You Bruce Lee,” from our last show at Satchel’s Pizza.
On Saturday February 23rd 2019 we took the stage at the Acrosstown Repertory Theater for Heartwood Music Festival. We are so grateful to be a part of this event and to perform on the A.R.T.’s stage again. We hope to make another appearance next year.
We had our very best MC LBX lay down some sweet rhymes during “Bliss” and “Slips Away.” Tristan, king of the drums, driving the train, held down our swampy swingy rhythms with outstanding grace, while Sweet Irene laid down the truth with her saxophone and ethereal harmonies. Caitlyn Vinci, leader of the band, queen of the banjolele, carried us home with her soulful powerhouse of a voice, while Amy Cecilia came in with her delicate harmonies and bright, sparkly guitar riffs. Tying the whole symphony of sound together with the thumpiest and most melodic of bass lines we have Russ Tyndall, bassman extraordinaire, binding us together into the magnificent arrangement that we call VOWLS.

Thanks again to Heartwood Soundstage and everyone that participated and that volunteered their time. We love you!
At the beginning of this brand new beautiful year we had the lovely opportunity to perform at Oleno State Park for the First Annual Riverine Reunion Festival. This cozy fest had workshops, yoga, campfire jams, and tons of wonderful local bands.
“We would like to give a huge thanks to everyone involved in the Riverine Reunion ’19 festival. We love and appreciate you! We had such a wonderful experience performing. The experience as a whole warmed our hearts and was such a beautiful way to start off the New Year. ”
Another great year off to a great start at Cypress and Grove Brewing Co. This show was curated by Russ Tyndall with the help of our expert sound engineer Tristan Harvey. Four local artists took the stage and ended 2018 with sweet music and good times.
Up first we had TJ Washburn from Orlando, Florida. TJ is a storyteller and his songs reflect that. His songs are intriguing, captivating and relatable. His new album Seasons is now available on major streaming platforms. Here is his Youtube Channel and below is his video for an original song titled “St. George and the Dragon.”
Next up VOWLS! After the Dozenaires sweet and nostalgic set Vowls took the stage to sing sweet songs to rock your soul.
After us the FUNKY MIRACLE brought the funk with a tribute to the musical styling of The Meters. The Funky Miracle had everyone at Cissy Strutting and dancing all over Cypress and Grove. They had the crowd moving during the whole duration of their set. They really FUNKed it up. Featuring: Josh Lederman(pictured below), Jake the Snake, Russ Tyndall, Chris Pierce, Teig, and Chris Robertson(pictured below).

Closing out the show and ringing in the New Year the Threetles serenaded us with the sweet songs of the Beatles. They closed the night out with a “Hey Jude” Singalong that brought everyone home.

This Hallow’s Eve some of us VOWLS had the opportunity to experience Suwannee’s Hulaween and performed on the Lost Stage at the Spirit Lake.
Suwannee’s Hulaween is an immersive art festival held during the Halloween season that brings living art and music together in a cohesive and beautiful way.
Caitlyn and Sweet Irene hit the Lost Stage on Saturday Night and sang sweet songs to rock your soul. With their captivating harmonies and sweet ukulele jams these precious gems created a sweet and sultry experience at the Spirit Lake.
From the vault we have our recordings from Spirit Fest 2017 at Heartwood Soundstage. Heartwood is a live recording venue that offers high quality audio and visual recordings of musicians and performing artists. We had so much fun performing at Spirit Fest and hope that this fest reemerges in 2019.
