(V)OWLS to Perform at Summer 72 Music Festival

We are very excited to announce that we will be a part of the Summer 72 Lineup. We are playing Saturday July 21st at 6:15pm. You can purchase tickets early at Eventbrite.

First Magnitude Brewing Company, Rum 138, Locochino, and Lively Up Entertainment have come together to bring a summer surprise to the Santa Fe River. Bring your bathing suit, bring your dancing feet, bring your tent: Summer 72 lands on the weekend of July 20th to fill two days and two nights with music, art, water, and friends.

Mayflower Cellars, Endless Summer Ice Cream, and Rum 138 will have prepared food available for sale. Outside food and beverages may be brought to the festival. First Magnitude beer – including special releases will be available at Rum 138 as well!”

We have been working hard on performing new songs, creating merchandise, and working on our stage art and presence to deliver a one of a kind VOWLS experience during our set. So look out for us and all the other great bands we have the honor of sharing a lineup with (Zach Deputy & Consider the Source) and we hope to see you there!

WELCOME EMILY!

We have added a new member to our collective! Meet Sweet Irene! She is a saxophonist, a kazoo extraordinaire, ukulele master, gourd player,  and she has the voice of an angel!

“Sweet Irene has been writing poetry and singing songs since she was a young girl. Being raised with strong musical influence in the household led to her dabbling a little bit with all sorts of instruments, if nothing else just to understand them. She has a jazzy-folk fusion vibe with sweet voice to tug at your heart strings. She currently plays from her list of covers while she prepares her originals for the public eye. She hopes that you enjoy her sound as much as she enjoys producing it!”

We are so excited to collaborate with you Emily!

Welcome Home!

104.9 Radio Interview 2017-06-15

The (V)owls were recently interviewed live on the radio on our local Gainesville’s Talk 104.9. We discuss our band and our recent album “Is That The Little Dipper” which we recorded at SkyLab studios in Gainesville.

A very special thanks goes out to Dave Johnson for arranging it and Going Rogue with Jon Branch and Jay Rogue for having us on and doing the interview! You guys made all our momma’s cry (in a great, mom is proud of her kids on the radio kinda way)
