HallowHulaween with VOWLS

This Hallow’s Eve some of us VOWLS had the opportunity to experience Suwannee’s Hulaween and performed on the Lost Stage at the Spirit Lake.

Suwannee’s Hulaween is an immersive art festival held during the Halloween season that brings living art and music together in a cohesive and beautiful way.

Caitlyn and Sweet Irene hit the Lost Stage on Saturday Night and sang sweet songs to rock your soul. With their captivating harmonies and sweet ukulele jams these precious gems created a sweet and sultry experience at the Spirit Lake.

Spirit Fest 2017 at Heartwood Soundstage

From the vault we have our recordings from Spirit Fest 2017 at Heartwood Soundstage.  Heartwood is a live recording venue that offers high quality audio and visual recordings of musicians and performing artists.  We had so much fun performing at Spirit Fest and hope that this fest reemerges in 2019.

VOWLS has had our busiest year of gigging yet! Now that summer is coming to a close in Florida we are taking November off to work on new material and unreleased material for your audial pleasure.

This October we went out to the Roots Revival Festival at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, the campfire jams and enjoyed time with our families. After the Leftover Salmon set we played a live set (with the accompaniment of our great friend Ben) on the corner of the campground’s main road.

The set was truly magical.

Over all Roots was an A+ weekend that we all needed.

Our great friend Arielle D’Ornellas took some amazing photos of us as well. Arielle is a great photographer and an amazing musician, artist and friend.

Triple Gig Weekend Ahead!

After we recover from our amazing weekend at Summer 72 we will be performing three times this weekend. That’s THREE shows folks.  We will be returning to Rum138 in Fort White, FL for their Full Moon Paddle on Friday July 27th. Saturday we will be performing at the Gainesfamous High Dive for their Food Truck Rally/Future Music Makers Benefit Event. Sunday we will be heading back to Rum138 with our buddies HEADSTASH, a local deadphish jam band, to rock out during Rum138’s Sunday Funday Event.

Future Music Makers is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to creating opportunities for youth and foster their creativity for music through instrument donation, master classes, school partnerships, and lesson scholarships. This organization helps children pursue their potential in music and pursue an instrument they might not otherwise dig deep into.

If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering for or applying for Future Music Makers please click the link above.

This weekend should be a fun filled one and we hope you can join us.

(V)owls plays the Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens Spring Festival

(V)owls was invited to play the Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens spring festival in 2018.  Only Caitlyn, Amy and Russ could make it, so its bit stripped down.  We played for an hour in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, next to a waterfall and surrounded by flowers.  It was a truly special day I was happy to be a part of.

We had to run to two other gigs, that day, so we didn’t get to hang out, but we hope to be back soon with more time to spare.

Here is our hour long set:
